Brakes and Service
You must have good functional brakes when you hit the road. It’s critical not only for your safety, but the safety of other drivers and pedestrians. Your brakes are made up of parts that wear down over time due to the friction and heat generated when you press your brake pedal.
Warning Signs for Brake Repairs
If it’s been a while since you’ve had your vehicle serviced there are several early warning signs that tell you it’s time to check your brakes:
1: Do your brakes grind or screech when you stop?
This is a sign that your brakes have worn pads and may need of replacement.
2: Does your car or truck pull right or left when braking?
This is a warning sign for a number of possible problems including worn brakes, low fluid, or a bad caliper.
3: Does the brake pedal go to the floor when you press on it?
This is a sign that there may be too much air in your brake lines or not enough fluid.
